Welcome to holiday resort De Warre’s website.

At the foot of National Park ‘Hoge Kempen’ lies a brandnew holiday resort in a green oasis, where restfulness and relaxation take you off into the clouds.

Here you can have (long) walks, ride your bicycle or ride horseback to your heart’s content.

National Park ‘Park Hoge Kempen’ has extensive pine forests, alternating with purple heathland in bloom.

Rare and special animals will appear to greet you. The sighting of magnificent whirling butterflies and frolicking roes are no exception.

Sand and gravel used to be dug here and large lakes have remained after the exploitation.

The area covers 5700 ha (= 14085 acres) and extends over the municipalities of As, Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, Lanaken , Zutendaal en Genk.

No dogs allowed!
